I fell under two jackets on e-bay both with are NWT and one labled 37S and one 36R. The measurements as follows for the 37S,

# Chest: 40 inches (Back underarm to underarm)
# Waist: 37 inches (Back waist seam to seam)
# Sleeve: 24 inches (Top of shoulder seam to cuff)
# Length: 29 inches (Bottom of collar to hem)
# Shoulder: 18 inches (Top shoulder seam to shoulder seam)

36R

# Chest: 38 inches (Back underarm to underarm)
# Waist: 36 inches (Back waist seam to seam)
# Sleeve: 25 inches (Top of shoulder seam to cuff)
# Length: 30.5 inches (Bottom of collar to hem)
# Shoulder: 17.5 inches (Top shoulder seam to shoulder seam)

I will with out a doubt have with either one of them, get them altered. I recently bought a suit from FIH with the following measurements, Chest-20"
Waist-18.5"
Shoulder-17"
Length-30"
Sleeve-24.5

I had the legnth shortened about 1 1/2" to 2" (can't remeber) I know shortening a jacket will throw the pockets off so with that in mind, shouldn't I go with the 37S because logic would tell me at the factory, they had in mind how long the jacket would be and how to correspond the pockets. Only problem is that, the shorter jacket is bigger overall. What would you guys do?
