I would have to say that buying anything from the Brooks Brothers website on impulse is a bad idea, particularly when you cannot try them on to see if you like them. That said, Brooks Brothers has made a solid attempt to raise the quality of their suits in recent years and certainly getting 2 of these suits for less than a grand is not a bad deal.

However, suits should NEVER be bought via the internet. Part of the pleasure of buying a suit is in the experience, even for one you find off the peg. However, if you have prior knowledge of how a BB suit will fit you then you may have made out very well for yourself with this transaction. I wish you the very best of fortune with your purchase.

The Madison has a fuller cut than the other 1818 models, but I'm not a heavy guy and have a grey plaid one I really like, and paid about $60 more than you (although it's a 3-piece).

It's good if it fits you good,it's half canvassed so it's not a great deal, you could find better suits for your money, but given that you are 36R,you probably won't have much luck.
