I'd like to see some shoes at 40% off. They're currently only 25% off, which isn't that great of a deal, considering you can get benchmade CJs for less and handgrades for slightly more.

crockett & jones. with the stronger dollar, some (most?) of bb's english-made shoes are cheaper if you buy them direct from england or from plal.

with recent discounts & sales etc., however, there were some good deals from bb. for example, the c&j boots were about $100 cheaper than they would have been bought direct with the stronger dollar.

And they also have some different styles such as the black smooth calf boot from C&J that C&J doesn't offer in their catalog.

Agreed, I actually bought a pair of those for that reason. The other styles aren't worth it at current prices, however. If they are reduced 40% or better yet 50%, they're worth it.

I am not getting excited about BB's sale. It seems I can't get anything in a 38R(ish). I have been waiting on two Fitz 1818s since 10/14/08. Every expected ship date turns into another backorder date. Now my "expected" ship date is 1/3/09.

Their usual after XMas sale is (most) everything 40% off and an extra 15 the morning of the 26th. Their best sale of the year, and I am usually one of a scant few there when they open.
