I think the best British-made ties are Drakes, but they seem more Italian in style than the typical bold British ties.

Is it true, that Drakes makes or made ties for Marinella?

I too am curious as to why you want a British tie with no regard to the style being particularly British?

I'll be in London and I normally can't find British ties here - all Italian stuff. When I'm in England I want to do some shopping for some stuff difficult to find where I live. Good enough?

Yes, excellent. You should not have omitted this important detail in the original post. I think it is a cool idea. Best of luck! Sorry I can't help.

Probably Drakes, but I'm not sure who makes ties for whom...

My favourites are Hardy Amies for wool ties (pretty sure they're Holliday & Brown).

New & Lingwood for heavier silk, Turnbull & Asser for lighter silk but I don't know who makes them.

John Comfort produces some nice stuff too.

You might want to pop into Cordings to get other traditional English wear: Cordings

Atkinson's Irish Poplin. Maybe not strictly British (forgive my ignorance and laziness), and I'm not familiar with the construction quality, but the fabric is my favorite for ties.

Do they make ties? It thought they just made the fabric and sold it to actual tie makers.
