It's on sale right now, my exact size. Fits well. About 95% cotton, 5% cashmere. Brown-tan. Unconstructed, but with some shoulder wadding. Two button. Twin vents. Straight lapel hole.

Worth it at $159?

I say no. Everytime I am lured to try on a BR coat, I remember why I have never bought one. They are stiff like cardboard and feel like it and are poorly constructed in the seams, buttons...forget about the crappy fusing job. They only look good on the models in the ads (and even then).

I think BR is OK for the occasional chinos and casual top (and I love their boxer shorts at < $10) but stay away from their "tailored" dress clothing.

Thanks guys.

I might add that I did feel for an interlining or fusing on the jacket and felt neither. It was pretty soft, so I assume there's little to no construction. Pretty casual, but with just the right amount of waist suppression.

Anyways, I think I'll take Doc's advice and wait. This 38R has been out there a long time, so I assume it'll be even when they reduce it further. If not, I'll know it wasn't meant to be.

You can find Brooks Brothers' corduroy sportcoat on sale now for $240...it's more expensive than BR's, but it's about five times better in almost every other respect.

Except I hate the Brooks fit. Fit is first in line for me, then construction.
