Indeed. The leather sole is super thick and I could count three distinct layers of leather there.that's a lot of leather midsole in addition to the commando sole
All my leather soled boots have lug topys on them. They solve the issue of grip and traction as efficiently as any other rubber soled boots.I'm looking at a pair of boots with "rubber protectors" on the leather soles. They kind of look like R1 soles glued onto leather soles.
They're quality shoes so I'm not worried about the craftsmanship, I just wonder if the rubber protectors will improve traction in the wintertime or if I just need to find dainite/R1/commando soles built through?
