with khakis, you shouldn't be wearing sneakers at all. if, by khaki/beigepants, you mean something like levi's 539's, light-ish sneakers would be fine.

I was dressed super bummy yesterday (mainly due to my massive hangover), and I wore a pair of khakis with Adidas Sambas.

I think Sambas are among the few 'sneakers' to be a general consensus good pick.

Those Speedcats are so 2003/2004. Yeah I see guys wearing those with khakis, usually around the malls chasing after their kids, and with belt bags around their waist.
