Right, and you can get dark jeans that have been washed/distressed. Which brands are the best?

I've found myself wearing washed denim at least as much if not more than raw denim at this point. As far as quality of washes, 5EP, Kohzo, Earnest Sewn, Acne, and Edwin do a good job.

There's a lot of comparison here around cut and denim between various brands, but relatively little about the quality of the washes. Of course, everyone generally goes for aw denim around here, but sometimes a shortcut is necessary -- in which case the wash is critical.

So, which brands have the best washes?

Earnest Sewn. Love it, love the soft denim.

I wear a few pairs of Diesels, too, but very selectively: no ridiculous back pocket detailing, straight slight taper cuts, and only the quality washes. They just fit me well.. though I guess not as well as I felt a few weeks ago in the case of my Levans, I need to get them hemmed and maybe a bit tapered tomorrow.

Though I really dislike artificial whiskering, no matter who does it.

maybe it's his style? you have to realize that not everyone likes non-distressed jeans, which is perfectly fine.

Sometimes it's really nice to wear a pair of very faded jeans in the spring and summertime.

Dior and Helmut Lang. They are the best I've seen.
