Best tailor on Savile Row

I am looking for a bespoke suit and would spend up to £4600 for a suit. I wanted to ask SF members, what tailor comes to mind and what makes them Superior? As Hunstman has been bought, are they now too fashion forward and skimp on traditional ways or are they still upholding the same quality as before?

Each house has its own style, its own approaches and its own niche. If there was one simple "best" then there would only be one.

You need to spend some time on deciding what you want from the suit, what styling you like and then look to see which house fits that bill

Well, maybe there isn't a best tailor on the row, but definitely there are some tailors better than others in terms of achieving the fit and style they are known for. Furthermore, there are some tailors that provide better finishing to their products than others.

I do not own any savile row suit, but from what I've seen Chittleborough&Morgan are top notch when it comes to classic and structured tailoring with superb finishing. On the other side of the spectrum, when talking about soft english tailoring, Anderson&Sheppard are the most famous.

@tyrel99 won't be disappointed if he gets a suit from either one.

For an outstanding and unusual piece maybe I would choose Gieves, but otherwise I think I would get a suit from the ones above mentioned at a first stage.

Entirely subjective, a good suit is a blend of the commissioners requirements and the rapport between him and his cutter.

I am defining "best" in terms of highest quality construction and fit. I like a more structured suit and would like to try a british style. Would RA be a good choice? Anyone commisioned a bespoke from RA before?
