Leaving off the question of whether these were a good purchase or not (I'm debating that myself), I'm now the owner of a pair of blue dress shoes:

This may be a fairly basic question, but what color belt goes with blue shoes - black or brown? I'll be wearing these mainly somewhat casually.

Thanks in advance.

I think either color would be fine with those shoes.

^kind of on a separate but related note, those olive surface to air shoes look brown...but if i buy them, should i expect a little tint of green in them? any owners here that can vouch for the color accuracy on my screen?

Since they're a very dark navy blue, verging on being black, I wouldn't put a black belt with them. I think it would look too close and yet too far from matching. I would go with a complete contrast. That's my instinct from just imagining the combinations.
