Anyone have any photos of the EG Shannon II in black? Basically the ones that Manton has in the first post, but with the brogueing wrapping around the whole shoe. Thanks in advance!

check leffot blog, if you go back a bit there might be a shannon

Threads been dead for a while but does anyone have a suggestion for a inexpensive black balmoral boot? Something not that much in excess of $350, to be specific.

Can try this
http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline/producti_SF7715_1_40000000001_-1
Though I don't like it personally, it fits the price range.

Yeah, I'm keeping that in mind. It'd be really great if I could find something that looks like a Rider balmoral but doesn't cost near one thousand USD. It looks like a couple years ago Grenson made something really cool (it's at the beginning of this thread), but like all things cool and Grenson it probably only lasted a season and may not be brought back.

Like these Grenson balmoral boots, you mean??

I don't know if they are still available, but they're still there on the Natural Shoe Store's website, so it's worth seeing if you can purchase them.
Unfortunately, they only seem to come in black.

Wow. I'm impressed. How did you find those? Also, unfortunately it looks like they are $427.68 given the current exchange rate and so a bit out of my price range. Awesome research though man. Really, I'm impressed (and appreciative!).

There is a CJ Balmoral on the French/Belgian site - the Somerville

I plan on checking it out when I am in Brussels next month.

WS Foster and sons (as indicated by a poster above) also stocks a C&J-made bal boot under their own name. I assume that it is the same as the French-market Avebury boot.

not sure but it also says 337 last on Foster and Son's website. Would prefer if they made it on 358 last, oh well...

I didn't see any boots in C&J stores in Paris. Chukkas only were on the shelves.

Thanks man :)
And yeah, mto.

beautiful boots. curious though the price compared to G&G mto. also, G&G only will do nailhead initials on bespoke, its cool that AS gives you that option on the mto.
