In Sydney for a couple of days: anywhere new/interesting to shop, eat or drink?
For drinking I usually go through the Barber Shop through 89 York Street, have a drink, then head out the back door and in the opposite corner of the back alleyway courtyard is The Baxter Inn - go there for whiskeys. There's a lot of bars along Clarence Street actually.

For eating, try out Bistecca for steak. That's my favourite place of all time!

Has anyone tried a button down collar shirt from Charles Nakhle? Not sure how well he does button down collars since I haven't seen any pictures.

Interesting article on Permanent Style about Uniqlo Merino jumpers

I've still got a couple of Uniqlo lambswool jumpers that I bought in Japan about 15 years ago, and I wear them every winter. Yes, they are not as soft, nor as thick as some brands. Yes, they have pilled a fair bit - but then so have lambswool jumpers from other, more expensive brands. In terms of construction, they've held up brilliantly, with no issues at the seams or along the cuffs or ribbing at all.

With regard to the pilling, I bought a little battery-operated de-piller for 100 yen at a Daiso store in Tokyo some years ago. It does an awesome job of quickly and easily removing any pilling.

Please do list! Love the geo distribution of options, getting out of the conservative business dress area. I don't come to Sydney often enough these days to keep up and it's nice to have options on e.g. the North Shore or Balmain. Anything in the Ramsgate Beach/Sans Souci area?

Bella Bruta is an amazing new kid on the block for pizza. And Ma Po for gelato a few doors down to complete the night.

My experiences with Joe/TFC have always been good. I ordered a suit from B&Tailor a few years back - sizing was all wrong when delivered; Joe returned it to Seoul no less than twice, at no extra cost, until I was happy with the fit.

I've also purchased some items "off the rack" from TFC at one of their very rare stocktake sales, including a magnificent Valstarino suede jacket at probably less than half price.

@Lm90 if you have an issue, just go straight back to Joe and I'm sure he will do his best to fix it for you.

Disclosure: I have no financial interest or other affiliation with TFC.
