Tom Ford is a brand name and youre paying for the name. Personally I dont think they are worth the price in terms of quality. If I am going to pay $500 for sunglasses, I would buy a pair of Pradas and another pair... But if you like the style, its subjective, go for it.

Can you tell me anything about ogi frames?

I found a pair of titanium wire frames by them that I like. Is this a quality brand?

OGI frames are good quality. A lot of their frames are smaller than average. The quality is average to above average. Good bang for the buck. I havent held any in a few years, but they are priced well for their quality.

Other than the obvious, "it looks different", there are certain images that the colors portraits. Black is generally a bolder look whereas tortoise is a little bit of a more subtle look. But both colors are quite common and usually just a preference. Its like how some people like to wear black jeans as opposed to blue jeans. Same thing.

Mr CityConnection

I just got myself a pair of plastic 999.9, they are the first plastic framed glasses I have owned. The bastards keep slipping off of my face. I know you can get the adhesive silicone pads for the nose bridge, but is it also possible to get something that extends it behind the ear? Frankly, I would like it to anchor there as well.

Help is most appreciated!

Hello CityConnection, what do you think of Theo glasses? I love the styling and am looking to get a pair despite the quite absurd price.

My second option is Paul Smith, which I think is a safe choice, would you agree?

I don't know about the quality, but Theo glasses will give you the gay middle-aged Dutch graphic designer look perfectly.

Theo eyewear looks horrible. I just checked the website. What has been seen cannot be unseen...

The Theo eyewear is unique. Personally, I think for the price vs style, price is high and style is "unique". The Theo eyewear has a special niche market and the eyewear isnt for everyone.

It's your money to spend but I think Paul Smiths would be a safer bet. Styling is simple and clean and much more reasonably priced.

I have discussed this in my blog, and there are few things you can do (I posted on June 1, 2009). But something that I didn't mention was that there are silicone anchor hooks that you place behind your temple and it works like you would imagine, just keeps them on tighter. Generally, adults don't/won't wear them because you can see it behind the ear (normally black). But people who play sports and such will wear them more. If you can't find them let me know and I can try to source some for you.
