Do you like to gamble? I won't limit the question to cards, horses, the lottery, etc. Are you a risk taker? Were you at one time? Do high risk ventures, appeal to you?

Yes, but more in a reckless sense than in an adventurous way. Since the my daughter I've been very tame, not even a pool game for beer (and thats was a guaranteed way to get drunk for free).

I'm a good poker player. I love the lottery and the daily numbers. And, a little 'horseplay.' As for high risk ventures, no. I've had a few chances . . . should have taken one or two of them. Too late now.

Nothing beyond the occasional office pool.

I like highly aggressive mutual funds, so in that sense I don't mind making a gamble.

Living so close to the oldest (and one of the most popular) horse-racing track in the nation turns me into an obsessive better in the summer. Generally, that's a good thing.

I won $50 at the casino yesterday. First time I had gone in two years.

Yesterday, I hit four digits on the Indiana Lottery, again. The pot was thirty million dollars. Four numbers, pay 48 dollars. I think I have six winning rows. I love the lottery, and the daily numbers. I've had five of six in lotto, three times. The daily numbers, I've won many times, although these days I don't have time to 'work' on them. During college, I used to win straight number bets, with considerable regularity. Always had plenty of spending money.

I gamble. I played the exacta with Street Sense and Curlin yesterday. I lost on De La Hoya. I do a little poker on the side. I bet video games, NBA Live, $50 a game. I bet on anything I think I can win.

I play poker with friends. It's more a social thing than a gambling thing; but i'm up a couple of hundred dollars. Occasionally i'll bet on football or horses. I rarely go to the casino.

I used to hustle people in playground basketball. I also have a fantasy about stumbling around on a dog track, but I have not yet realized it.

I am a gambler by nature. I used to play poker a lot in college but not anymore. I spent a few summers working on the boardwalk in South Jersey when I was younger and would go to Atlantic City regularly. I like blackjack and the occasional roulette spin but hate slots and lotteries. I hardly ever gamble anymore but go to the Casino in Montreal once in a while when I'm there with my friends/brothers-in-law.

True story: When I lived in Ottawa 10 years ago, I dreamt I'd wagered $50 on #26 (my usual lucky roulette #) and won $1,800+ at the Hull Casino. It was a very vivid dream and I talked about it for the next few days to my wife/friends. A few days later, I skipped out one afternoon and went to the Casino to see if my dream would come true. I played a little blackjack and was up a few hundred when I decided it was time to find the roulette table of my dream with a fat guy spinning the wheel. No fat guy to be found so I settled on a woman since she was the odd person there. On the first spin, I plunked down $50 on 26 right before the no-more-bets call and sure enough - 26!!

Woohoo! I left my initial bet on the table, cashed in my chips and called my wife who's reaction was: WTF are you doing at the Casino at this hour?? She didn't believe me until she saw two crisp $1,000 bills. Since then, I've tried dreaming of lottery numbers but no luck.
