apologies if this is in the wrong thread, but I have a brand new Large Black Veilance Field Overshirt for sale if anyone wants it. I realized I had too much black clothes and this never made it into the rotation. PM me if ya interested. Looking for $310 shipped (fees included).

How does the Monitor down coat fit? I have a small in the Partition and Field Coat IS (which is admittedly a little slim now from lifting) and a medium in the Haedn overshirt and the Doeln. I'm thinking I should grab a medium, but not 100% sure.

I think you should take S.
I have S for both monitor down (2016) and field IS (2014), but I was surprised that you found the field to be slim as many have reported it to be roomy.

Yeah I'm not sure, I guess a medium makes sense since the Field IS feels slim now and minus the Partition my other Veilance stuff is all medium. If anyone else has any insight let me know - usually a true 48.

Let me know how sizing works out for you if you grab one... I am also looking to get a monitor
Although I wear a M in the partition which is weird since I'm smaller than you

Just stumbled on this thread. I would go TTS on the monitor down, I have it in a large and it fits me very well. Its slim overall, like most of the line. I'm 6'3 205, 43" chest, athletic build.

Can anyone comment as to how well the nomin bag carries a camera? Does the camera create bulk and weigh the bag down? Considering this versus the Visvim 22l backpack (which I slightly prefer the styling over).

This is a review I did on the current version of the Nomin

If you plan on carrying a DLSR the old version of the Nomin would be considerably better. The boxy dimensions would accommodate a camera bag well. The side access would also make accessing the camera quicker. Do note that the front compartment is mostly occupied the internal pouch and rendered unless. You'll also find less storage and organization option in the old Nomin.

Personally I love the current version of the Nomin. It's excellent for work since it has dedicated laptop and paper storage. It might help to mention that if you put something heavy (like a camera) in the front compartment of the current version, the bag may lean forward when set down. I don't expect this to be a problem if you have a laptop or paper in the back to act as a counter balance. I've had the Visvim 22L which also suffers from this.

It its a debate between Visvim and AV, the Nomin (regardless of model) wins on all fronts. The straps are low profile but reduce fatigue. The construction is top notch and the material is nearly waterproof

Thanks John, that was super helpful and really enjoyed reading your review on superfuture! I was partial to Visvim as a brand and liked the versatile "Jansport" look of their 22l bag, but the Nomin had so many more features going for it. Your input and comparison definitely helps my decision, thanks!

Appreciate the review of the revised Nomin! I have the old one and use it regularly in the rain, often on my bike. It’s just awesome!

I’m wondering if anyone has had any hands on experience handling the new Sequent pants. A waterproof gore tex pant is very appealing to me, and I wonder how they would hold up to activities like cycling.

No worries.

Don't buy it. GTX pants are kind of impractical. C-knit stains easily and I imagine a build of oil would destroy them quickly. The only way to wear them is if you had some merino long johns underneath. The amount of times the weather calls for GTX pants is far and few. I find the windstopper on the Field and Indice to be ample.

When it's hot I can wear my Voronois and dry up in minutes. If its cold then the Indice are there
