Great collar on you, Bill. And really nice pattern choices. Charvet is a great shirt. Wish I had discovered the real thing (as opposed to the NM ones) sooner, because I'd wear a bunch more of 'em.

Very nice. I like the collars and the fabric choices.

Tomassimo, it's easier to describe the fabrics Charvet doesn't have than those it does. The only time I came up no trumps was when I was searching for a special green silk used in the shirts the old Beale & Inman made for Krishnamurti. And it's probably better I didn't find it.

Mid-Italian collar, no placket or pocket. That's the way to make 'em.

I think I'll go without the placket the next go around. My Finamore's don't have them and I like the clean line it creates.

I saw some they had in the books that were XXV grade (170s - 220s). I didn't have the balls to even ask how much...

Chris just looked at me and said, "These are probably a little out of the range."

I'm with you on this one. Looks so much better without placket

I ordered a Sea Island cotton from them. I don't know what grade it was but the hike was considerable.

Did they give you a choice of buttons? I really like their thick cuvette buttons.

I think next time I see Christophe I'll tease him by calling him "Chris".

Well just imagine calling him C-dawg.

I did see the button selection but I actually prefer the standard fare.

Bill, the fit looks good from the pictures. I like the standard placket as well.

Do provide an update once you have washed and worn them a few times.

Bill, those Berluti are very nice...Similar to my warhol loafer. Mine are quite comfortable.

Maybe they keep the good stuff in Paris for Franophiles.
