So, the Silverlakes seem to be the same length wise, as the Higgins Mill. This biggest difference I noticed between the two was the Higgin's Mill's volume seems to come from the width of the forefoot area, where-as the Silverlake seems like it's volume comes more from the height, if that makes sense. If you'd like I can do some side-by-side pictures when I get home tonight.I have wanted to ask about the fit of those Silverlakes, and kept forgetting. I saw those on eBay when they were first listed several months ago.
I normally wear a 13B — Higgins Mill, for example. Sometimes I will wear a 13D or 14B if I want a little roomier boot. How do those Silverlakes fit compared to a Higgins Mill? Are they longer, or shorter? How about the volume of the forefoot area?
Thanks.

...Shoe-must-match-belt fetishists may notice the blue surcingle belt with fish on it does not match the shoes...
Wax them and enjoy the patinaAwesome as ever @Roycru!
Question for you gents. I recently acquired a Surrey Chelsea boot second hand. It appears that they were worn maybe with possibly raw denim.

So I shampooed, brushed (reset the suede), and edge dressed them. I tried a suede eraser on the affected areas with a little success, but not much.

My question is, should I just wax (beeswax waterproof) them and not worry about it, or is there something else I should try first?

In other words, “to wax, or not to wax, that is the question.”
That Silverlake boot looks much better without the white sole.@mreams99 Both pair 13D View attachment 1565262 View attachment 1565258
