Yes. After U of I College of Law I lived in Chicago for 15 years.

Moved to Vancouver in February. Best decision I ever made in my life.

There's no AE here, Seattle is the closest. And buying used AEs on eBay or Poshmark is a nightmare. But the political climate is so much better here. The people are kinder and more reasonable. The city and surrounding area are stunningly beautiful. View attachment 1474586 View attachment 1474587 View attachment 1474588

Do you just mean federally? Or on a local level?

Both ny and Illinois suck politically, I'd say.

I agree Vancouver is lovely, though. Canada is a beautiful country in general.

Ugh, probably best not to engage in political conversations in a thread dedicated to Allen Edmonds shoes.

I will just say in the province where I live we have a population of over 5 million and only 245 total deaths from Covid-19. Those numbers are not a coincidence.

Anyway, I just purchased a used pair of AE Shannon Drives from Poshmark. I bought a tan/gold pair from eBay a few months ago and they've become my go-to shoes for social affairs. I suspect the blue will be quite striking. They're very comfortable but the gentlemen in the Dominican Republic must have giant feet because they run really large.

Flawless! Amazing! And @mreams99, 3 shoe bags!

I'll post better photos in natural light.

beautfiul. I wonder if yours were ready quick because chili strands are a standard option now
I'd consider the dress sneakers if they were available with a sole that wasn't white.

I agree. They were in the trunk show...the cordovan ones at least. I thought a chili park with black sole would be nice

I'd love to move to Vancouver. I hear that property prices are pretty scary, though

I use cream on the weave but not wax at all. And when you apply the cream use tiny amounts and massage it in a lot longer than smooth leather. I will use a pig bristle brush. That’s about it.
Thanks. I think I'll get them. With all this working from home I need more semi-casual shoes

The stock images of these made me not like them. Your pictures and actual real world example makes me love them. What a cool looking shoe.
Reminds me of the gray CXL debacle of a few years back. Stock image looked silver. Finally saw them live after they were discontinued. They were a muted blue gray and were fabulous. I missed out.
