Made a purchase...ended up buying Leeds in chili, antique welt, and double JR’s. I almost made a second purchase and would have gotten something in the marbled congnac, but couldn’t make up my mind. I wanted the Chili Leeds last time and didn’t make a purchase...so that was the easy one for me. Oh well, probably better that I didn’t.

Did the prices on the shell models just increase? The website is showing shoes @ $735 and boots @ $765
Looks like this applies to their more popular models like the PA, Strand, and Higgins Mill. The Dalton is still $725 and some others like the Cambridge, Leeds, and the loafers are $695. Maybe @ae_ashley can comment?

I like Allen Edmonds Cornwallis. They have different styles and designs from which people can choose from.

you and I are going to get along just fine

Woke up today and felt like getting in touch with my feminine side. Hence, the Ladyboots™. Got these @ae_ashley Seconds Specials about 18 months ago, and they're still not broken in around the laces. Vamp is good. Toe box is okay-ish. Shaft is good. I think the lack of speed hooks is hurting me here. Every time I try to really crank down the laces, they slip on me as I'm working them through the last pair or two of eyelets. Think I need to just dunk them in about a gallon of leather lotion, go out to the garage and grab some ratcheting straps, and then walk about a dozen miles in them to finish it up. That'll teach these Ladyboots to be stubborn!

At some point, I'm thinking a pair of burgundy cordovan Daltons will be in my rotation. But, for now, the poor man's substitute oxblood version more than meets my needs. These were someone else's MTO. Before I got them, I never would have thought to pair red Dainite soles with oxblood, but the flat black welt really helps here. Having them has made me much more open to exploring different color Dainite soles.

I went to my Grandsons birthday party over the weekend. The kids were happy and laughing and playing. They all took their turns crying over one thing or another. Kind of reminds my of what happens about 5 weeks after a Trunk Show. Some things just never change.
