You know what makes the day brighter? New shoes. Yep, always a bump in the outlook when a new pair rolls in. These arrived a week or so ago from the TS order. I was on the road in my move back east and could not see them until today. So, suede PTB Leeds even though it is a Wednesday. Only one shoe bag, gray flannel. I have not seen that style before.

Anyone on here involved in song copywriting? Babysitting our granddaughter 3 days a week during this Corona thing has created a few songs on my part, such as the "Dog Potty Song" and "Bipedal Mammal", but I don't know what to do with them next....

this photo has me wondering -- of the married men on this board, how many of you have weaseled your way into "the big side" of the master closet?

I somehow managed to pull it off. Finding out it is drawing too much attention now that they’re all (except for a couple pairs of boots) in plain sight. I just finished a bathroom remodel, and had one of those what the hell moments, and completely did the closet. My Higgins and second pair of Daltons are on the floor to the left. I didn’t feel like readjusting all of the shelves to make those fit.

My 14 year old doodle took a tumble down the stairs yesterday. She is fine, but took out my shell Dundee's in the process.

A couple decent scratches across the vamp/toe area.

I was a little scared, but some brushing and Bick 4 made quick work of it.

Note: Another souvenir from a trip to New York. The burgundy colour that AE achieves is one of the best (and few) I have seen, not too red, not too brown. The 360 welt is something I like a lot and that I have only seen in AE. Black polish to darken then a tad. The great thing with burgundy is that according to the angle the colour changes.

Actually wore shoes all day and even went for a nice walk outside this evening. Clearly in the time I’m saving in not having to commute each day I need to work on my photography. My legs are not quite that skinny and my jacket is not that huge. But those shoes are that amazing.

Has anyone heard anything about the April sale? I’m wondering if it will be an even more aggressive sale given the current market environment. If you twisted my arm I could probably part with $500 to get a brown Shell Leeds or maybe Chili Higgins Mill.

I’ll also be watching the camel Strandmok closely.

The last of the big spring haul arrived today. Denim Strandmoks, 11.5EEE. Wearing with a suit tomorrow, but they’ll be hot with jeans too.
