I'll be wearing the same--but mine don't have that nice shearling lining.
Fatso feet over here (10 eee) can’t wear the normal ones because they don’t come in wide :( I think the lining is a nice consolation prize, though...

bourbon shell and chili shell strands are both awesome as well as the suggestions that @madhat gave. probably depends upon what other shoes you have and how much versatility you are after. Honestly, strands are great in most colors. I'd have to say it's AEs best model (putting on my strand king hat for the moment).

Of course, I will choose olive. I also have a pair of bourbon shell Strands (and calf), and both of those are among my favorites. I love looking at my green shell Strands, but I rarely wear them because of covid.

Rainy day here today. That calls for boots with Dainite. Why not the Sullivan Streets?

Some people are afraid to get their shoes or boots wet or even dirty. Not me.

The nice thing about Dainite and mud, it doesn’t get stuck in the crevices like a Commando or lug sole.

It is quick clean up with a damp cloth. No need to pick stuff out of the crevices (No, that is NOT a new kind of snow shovel).

if you had to pick one color for strands. Which color would you pick? I am thinking of adding strands to my lineup, dont have any yet.
I thought it was mandatory for everyone to start their foray into Allen Edmonds with a walnut Strand.

Isn’t that one of the style rules everyone posts about here?!?

I have a walnut weave... but I plan on never getting a regular calf walnut strand

I meant if had to choose a color in calfskin? I am right now contemplating between Cigar & Walnut

My first thought was brown shell as well. Then I remembered that my favorite strands aren’t brown shell:

But seriously, I’m of the opinion that reddish tones are the most versatile - I believe chili and oxblood are both available. Chili is about as versatile as it gets - if you want one* Strand to rule them all, that would be my choice.

*if you hang out here, you probably won’t stop at one.

Hey guys I could use a little help. I've got a random itch to grab a pair or two of colored laces. Thinking about navy or perhaps burgundy. What are some thoughts on good lace/shoe color combinations?

Edit: I'm picturing navy laces on bourbon Strands. Am I crazy?
