Great minds think alike, I have my Dalton's on as well today, though being in a secure building I can't have my phone or take pictures.

Since everyone on here seems to think they are girls boots..... As I walked to lunch a female coworker pointed out we have the same shoes one, since she had brown wingtips on as well. (facepalm)
Don't worry, I have a pair of Daltons coming in. MDMA. Make Daltons Manly Again. We can do it!

I have never been offended by a woman telling me my car, shoes, clothes, whatever are cute. If she thinks yall have similar shoes, that's the same in my book. :p
I don't find Daltons to be feminine at all, I would think loafers would be more feminine since they are closer to flats and Chelsea boots I've seen women wear. Can't say I remember a woman wearing any sort of brogue wear I work.
Dang. Can't find it on the internet today, but there's a pic floating around of a woman wearing walnut Daltons with a skirt.

I don't find them overly feminine, but I do find the flat welt contrasting to the rest of the build. I feel the reverse fits the boot better than flat, just like the plain toe Aldens on commando I'm wearing today would be matched better to a reverse than the flat they came with.

I don't see the appeal of loafers, but to each their own. They just wouldn't work with my style and I would feel uncomfortable wearing them. It's like you forgot to take off your slippers before you left the house, they are definitely way more feminine in my book.

You have to be careful what you wear them (loafers) with. I like them a lot and wear them a lot in summer. Some of them look too Summer Camp-ish; while others are just too precious.
Under a suit, tassel loafers can make the wearer look effete, in a dandy-ish sort of way-- or at least that is how I see them (probably because this effete guy I worked with many many years ago wore tassel loafers with silk stockings under his DB suits).

Full disclosure: I have 3 pairs of tassel loafers :p

I think tassel loafers look cool, paired with a suit, but I RARELY, ever wear a suit. I'm super business casual at work, leaning more to the side of casual, I'm a Jean's & shirt guy put of work, I prefer shoes I can pair with chinos or Jean's.

Meanwhile, I love a good pair of loafers with chinos. However I prefer mine on the more casual side of things.

I feel like loafers are more dependent on the person wearing them than other shoes/boots

they’re also a PITA to find a good fit for some, including me

Happy Monday forum pals. I have elected to start the week off strong, but that usually means I will not go in to the office tomorrow. Alligator Chesters back to the top of the rotation.
