I know a lot of guys here have wet dreams over John Lobb. Does this make it a nightmare?

Sneakers are in style. No doubt the driggs sell to someone

When I see such shoes it makes me run to the closet and pull out some vintage Florsheim shoes. Shoes that were heavy gun boats and would see a gentleman through events like Sputnik and the iron curtain falling across Europe. Try that in sneakers! I think not.

Atta guy!
I got ripped (gently) yesterday on another SF thread for posting a photo of me in LWBs and linen trousers. Too heavy and all brogue-y something something. Silly me, next time I'll wear the $700 gummy sneakers.

Calares has $250 million budgeted for acquisitions and $40 for customer engagement. Do the math. Lol.

I have that witness line on my Rush Street and the JA Strandmok. I have never seen this on any shoe other than those in the Strand line. I'd be curious how many in @BFT9000 have in the museum with that mark present.

Seriously though, the reason is probably "big corporate." It sometimes takes a while to build inertia.

Well consider when AE was last a sponsor here it was Paul that was handling it and posting etc. That isn’t the case anymore and you can be sure when it was sold someone was looking at the books and saw $(insert cost here) and thought um we aren’t doing whatever that is. Certainly wouldn’t be in the budget right away either. I don’t think it is big corporate so much that the CEO isn’t the one posting. Heck for all we know Paul was doing it out of pocket.

I would have thought the fee for SF would be so nominal that they could just petty cash the thing.

I think that is where you might have made an error. I guess it depends what you define as petty cash. I don’t think it’s merely here’s $500 let me type again. I think it’s quite a bit more though I am no admin nor an affiliate so I am not sure. I did laugh at the go fund me suggestion though I’d just pick up a phone and call her if it came to that lol

Hi all
Trying to decide between Shell Park Avenue in either burgundy or brown. Planning to wear them with mid grey, mid blue and navy suits.any advice? Thanks. Pat

i favor burgundy with greys and brown with blues. Get both!

Exactly this. First - standard weasel answer applies.

Second - I’m fully with EZB here. However, if I had to choose one I think burg looks better with blue than brown with grey. My suits are mostly navy or grey and if I travel with only one pair it is always burgundy.

I do agree there. Burgundy with blue is better than brown with grey with one exception: I love walnut with light grey.

Well, is it just a one time / year fee, like for $40 or $400? Doesn't SF take a cut of sales linked through SF, or is that something separate?

edit: adding the obvious thought that most of the affiliates here do way less than $2.5 b. / year in sales as does Caleres. Whatever the SF fee, its petty cash to Caleres. Git er done, AE
