Made a quick stop in the Alden thread. That place is super dangerous.

Yeah. It is why my Alden count is nearly equal to my AE count. I've softened up the spend a bit by putting Grant Stone in a couple slots.

Just curious, when you travel or go to friend's homes where they don't wear shoes indoors, do you bring a shoehorn with you? I only have long-handled ones for use at home but I'm thinking I should have small/travel sized one.

I bring a small horn in my pocket, when I arrive and remove my shoes I place my horn in my shoes, then when I leave I use the horn and back in my pocket for the trip home.

I didn't think about leaving it in the shoe, great idea!

@TexasTexter

If those are grey, wow, they sure look very different than I imagined they would.  I was sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out what color those Strands are.
Yes
New Strand.

Those are blue??? That's horrible. I mean, it's definitely an interesting color, but if I was expecting blue and got that I'd be perturbed to say the least. I should swing by the Orlando AE to see if they have any in store. I'm curious to see if they're all like that.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming. I gave them a whole day off, so back in my new First Aves for another birthday celebration. This time for my wife. Yep, both my wife and mother's birthdays are on the same day. Anyway had a nice lunch with the her and the kids prior to feigning interest in the football game that will be played later today. Will probably just let this outfit ride for those festivities. Enjoy the game!

Happy Sunday forum pals. Well, rather than chicken wings and nachos at kick-off, I was on the way to church for a grandson's confirmation. Dubious planning on someone's part. This, and a talkative deacon, left game day in the dust. I consoled myself by choosing vintage Florsheim long-wings (21 years old) and leaving the cap toe balmorals in the closet for another occasion.
