Alfred sargents at otto tootsie ploughound

The NYC shoe store Otto & Tootsi Ploughound are selling Alfred SArgent shoes again.

I got a little sticker schock. The shoes range in price from $240-$280. Almost all have rubber soles.

Last time I bought Sargents, they were closing them out and i bought three pair for $150.

They have a great selection of shoes and boots. If they don't have your size in a style in That store, they will have it sent over the next day from one of their other stores.

I shop at the store on 5th at 20th Street. The sales help there is quite good.

Does anyone know of other sources for SArgents in the USA. I hate the idea of ordering from Europe.
DOes Customs add Duty when they are shipped from Pediware?

Sargents (including the top-end shoes) can be found at Sky Valet on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington, DC (in the upper part of Georgetown). In fact, right now they are having a 20% off sale on Sargents. I'm sure they'd love to help you even over the telephone, as their customer service is superb.

BTW, Sky Valet also carries J.M. Weston, Vass, Yanko and Alden.

I've bought C&J from Pediwear. They came straight to my office without customs interference or duty. The hassle was that my credit card company thought that the shoes were too expensive and that I was a fraud victim. Hence VISA stopped my charge, which took time to correct. Carol Bentley runs the operation-she's pleasant to deal with.

Did they ship via UPS or Parcel Post?

They ship parcel post and shipping is lightning fast, maybe 1 week or less. I have never had problems. AS's for 50 dollars? That is some sale.
