So for the past week I have been extensively searching through past threads for wedding/tux advice but have found so many conflicting opinions I'm unsure what to do. I am getting married in December on the coast of SC. Ceremony will occur in a covered venue with lots of natural light starting at 3:30pm. I'm in a bit of a dilemma as the only request the bride has is for a 3-piece, but I feel that it is much too early for a DJ. Also, she spent less than $400 on her dress so I'm trying to keep my budget <$500. I'm a 48XXT (6'8") so the chance of finding something off the rack that is long enough to be tailored is slim. So the plan currently is a cheaper MTM suit then heading to Sid Mashburn in ATL for alterations. I'm thinking a midnight blue suit such as https://www.indochino.com/product/midnight-flecked-twill-suit
or
https://blacklapel.com/shop/suits/midnight-blue-custom-suit

with a white shirt from Luxire
cuff links https://www.wheelersluxurygifts.com/product/dunhill/ad-coin-onyx-cufflinks
And a black shepherd's check tie http://www.kentwang.com/ties/shepherds-check-black.html#

Am I going about with the right color? I figured winter wedding so not a bright color and while the bride is wearing white, the wedding will have a maroon and gold "theme". I'm going to have the 2 groomsmen wear whatever charcoal/black suit they have and provide the ties/pocket squares.

Aren't there big and tall shops that cater to men your height? Presumably they would have in-house tailoring services as well. This might be a better option than low-budget MTM. Just a thought.
