Adding a **** to a dress shirt for cuff links

I recently purchased a Saville Row barrel cuff shirt with both a button & buttonholes for cufflinks which I thought was odd. When I installed the links I found that it didn't work well, and now thinking about it, it's probably due to my thin wrists.

I never wear it with links as it isn't thick enough because it isn't doubled. Instead I moved the button & wear it with suits that have thinner sleeves.

I have a shirt by the exact same maker, same **** next to the button also.

It was the shirt that actually triggered me to think about adding the same feature on other shirts.

Same, I prefer the bulk and heft of double (french) cuffs.
