I've looked around online and I don't know whether I found two charts that agree with each other.

Does anyone know where I could find an ACCURATE conversion chart? Or could you tell me what the European 45 is in American?

sizing varies so much between shoe makers that it doesn't really matter though, all charts are just going to be rough conversions, thus the lack of correlation between charts

That's what I thought. Probably best to go off foot length measurement then, when buying online.

you either have to know your size from a given manufacturer or buy according to measurements as it can be all the map. For example, i'm a true US 10.5. In common sneakers that show international size on their label (Nike, Adidas), a US 10.5 is labelled 44.5 (and i often wear 11 / 45 depending on the model / brand). However, if i buy european made sneakers (CP, Lanvin, MMM, etc), i fit into a 43, even 42 for some brand (Balenciaga). I never bought dress shoes sized in Euro sizing (all UK sizing), but when i tried Vass, i would have fitted into a 43.5, perhaps even a 43...
