Sorry for the redundant topic but I searched interview and didn't find what I was looking for in the first couple pages.
On Monday, I have an interview with Men's Wearhouse (I know, but I've HAVE to get a job by August). I want a second opinion on my outfit selection. The only things set in stone are my charcoal pinstriped 2-button suit and plain black cap toes and belt.
For shirts, I can choose from...
1. white button-cuff, point collar
2. white french cuff, spread collar with minimalist cufflinks
3. light blue button-cuff, point collar
For ties...
1. Plaid like this but replace the gray with white
2. This but blue dots encircled by white
3. Plain but reliable
4. This but the light blue stripes are a bit thicker
For pocket square...
Any of these or plain white
If I lived in a more fashion conscious area, I wouldn't ask and just go with what I like, but since it's Madison, WI, I feel like I have strike a balance between showing my style and knowledge of color coordination and conservative boring-ness. Which is why I wonder if I should scrap the pocket square and tie clip altogether. I want to go with the french cuff, plaid tie, and the middle pocket square from the pack.
I also have a banking interview on Tuesday, and would like feedback on what you'd go with in that situation as well. I was leaning towards the white button-cuff, solid colored tie, and no pocket square. I figure that would "fit in" better.
