So I'm going to get married fairly soon (>2 mo.), and I have yet to nail down a suit. Perhaps the redoubtable StyleForum can help me out of this jam: looking for a lightweight, light-grey suit, ideally with a bit of purple or slate blue (the bridesmaids and all are wearing a rich aubergine). Budget is <$1000 and the lower the better. Looking for a slimmer cut.

Thanks for all your help.

>$1000 suggests more than $1000, just so you know.

Is it an evening wedding? If so get a tuxedo instead of a suit. You won't ever regret it. Black or midnight blue, peaked lapels, as nice as you can afford. Everytime you ever wear it after it will remind you and your wife of your wedding day.

BOOOM!

RLBL is stylish, slim, and this has the peak lapels which spices it up a bit

So I've found a few swatches I like. Any recommendations / opinions to be had on Coppley , Holland & Sherry, Vitale Barberis Canonico?

I am kind of surprised people are recommending pinstripe suits for a wedding :eh:

+1

Pinstripes are pretty businessy for a wedding, are they not? Unless of course it's more of a business merger kinda wedding!
