David was nice enough to (politely) chin check me as well haha. To be sure, I have ZERO doubt David can make an exceptional tie regardless of makeup.
I suppose my mindset was to say that his standard construction is just about perfect. I’ve no doubt he can equal it wifi a 6 fold construction.

Keeping us in line! :D

I agree, that is what I was thinking as well. The 6 fold would add a nice heft to it for possible colder weather or tweedy fabric; this is guessing based on how the 4 fold feels and what I imagine 6 fold to be like.

I really like it! I wish there was one available in brown/chocolate with a hint of pink.

Thank you! It's a wonderful tie; very versatile and I am happy I picked up a few browns.

Interesting combo! What color do you have in mind? I cannot picture it with a hint of pink...

It looks quite a bit lighter in your picture than the one on the website. Which would you say is closest to how it looks in person? Baed on your picture I had thought it was chocolate, not bitter chocolate:

It's pretty dark in person. Keep in mind, the photos are taken in front of bright lights and sometimes my phone camera brightens things up a bit. It's a subtle brown, which I find very classic. The chocolate (lighter color), would probably more obviously be brown under most any light. Bitter chocolate not under direct light is hard to discern, I think.

The bitter chocolate is probably in the same realm as this tie below which I have as well.

kind of a medium brown to go with a pink/white shirt. I imagine very small pink stripes or maybe similar to the ties where it’s interwoven (for lack of a better term)...almost like micro pixels.

@savvysartorial how many Hober ties do you think you own?

Started with just 1 last year when I was between jobs. A few months ago I let loose and sent off an order for 15 (or so) more? 3 orders total.

I think I have 15-18 now.

@justridiculous Just counted. I have 19 from the last order and 1 from last year = 20.

Funny enough, my first tie was placed 4/10/2019 and the other orders were exactly one year later. Nice coincidence :D

I have saved a bunch of fabrics in my wishlist and am going to submit another order here very soon; I just haven't taken the time to do it, plus have been trying to delay spending the money, although I want/need more ties as these are the only ones I wear now.
