A question about Morning Dress trousers

Hello,

I'm off to a wedding in London and the dress code is "Morning Dress". I have a morning coat and pastel waistcoat but I was wondering if the trousers I have shown are appropriate? I have read that with strips they should be black/gray on gray, however my trousers are gray on gray. Would it be acceptable for me to couple the trousers along with a morning coat ensemble?

You might consider embedding the picture using the little landscape icon. Might get more looks and advice that way.

Morning dress trousers have had a surprising amount of variation (mostly monochrome, though) in them, with it being possible to even wear plain grey flannels or checked trousers. I'd say that if the pants are a thicker, stiffer material that holds a sharp crease, they should be fine even though they're a tonal grey.

I didnt even realise it didn't upload properly, apologies.

Thank you for the advice so far.

Also wondering, I have houndstooth trousers, would it suffice as an alternative?
