Maybe because you rarely wear it? I don't know how it works, but maybe the stretch shrinks back if you don't wear it regularly.

He's claimed 150+ wears - raw denim (especially APC) normally show stretch and wear after 15/20 or so wears. He likely sized down too much or isn't doing much activity while wearing the jeans (walking, etc).

Is there no APC equivalent of the N&F Weird Guy? Seems like everything APC is super slim in the thigh.

It been a few years since I owned then but NS didn't fit my slim/large thighs build that great. Really snug in thighs and lots of extra room in waist at best.

If that's your issue check out 3sixteen+ 30 BSP which is quite a bit pricier but a nice taper cut that has better thigh room. Rise is a touch higher than NS tho.

I have tried on **** tons of denim (pretty mich every domestic Cone-based brand, plus other MIJ offerings) trying to find the right cut for this challenge & these and Flathead 3009 (little less slim but still a clean profile w/ mild taper) are the best solutions I've found.

Hi, I just got a pair of petit new standard washed black jeans for 125 pounds. They don't feel as sturdy as another pair of washed black petit standard I tried a while ago. Is this normal?

And would you say APC washed denim are worth 125 pounds? or is it generally accepted that the raw denims are better and I should opt for other brands for washed denim?

Thanks a lot!

Ok this might be a weird request. I'm currently around a 36 waist in normal non selvedge jeans. So think 501s or Diesel jeans for example.

Ideally I'd like to get down to a 34 and use a nice pair of jeans as extra motivation to drop a bit of weight from the waistline.

Obviously this means I can't try a pair on.

If I'm aiming for a traditional 34 would I get 32 in APC NS?

Also is NS the best way to go?

What I'm looking for is a pair of jeans to go with some smart boots. I don't want a huge amout of "lag" or whatever you would refer to it, obviously happy to turn them up but I want them to be as close to a 30" leg as possible if we are using 501s as an example. Want them to work fine with jeans and my boots basically.

Hopefully someone can suggest the best ones to go with and help with the sizing.

Thanks

If you are wearing normally a 34 I would suggest to go for a 32 in APC sizes.
Which fit are you looking for? If you want a pretty "baggy" fit like a Levis 501 I would suggest the APC Rescue. If you want a fit that's a bit slimmer but not tapered I would pick the NS!

Thanks.

I do want something a bit slimmer. Something that looks smarter with boots and shoes etc.

My only real issue now is the length as I'm 6ft and the 34" legs are going to make them very baggy. Will need to look at getting them altered.

if the leg opening is slim enough (which all types of APC is except for Rescue), they won't be very baggy. they'll settle nicely, or you can always cuff. if both are not your thing then altering is the way to go.

here is a pic of me wearing NS size 26 and I'm 5'9"

Yeah I'll try them on prior to rolling them and if they seems a bit baggy length wise then I'll get them altered. Will need to find a decent place that specialises in denim alterations.

Tried on some APC PNS yesterday and what the heck why is the inseam so short! It was really frustrating to me because if it were not for the inseam I would have a pair right now that fit me really well and I'd be very happy with. There's always one thing! Might just go PS then not too sure. Suggestions?
