The ferragamo 9Ds (regular line) fit me PERFECTLY. They are snug, but not tight. No other show that I own fits as well as they do. my right foot is slightly smaller than my left and every other non-ferragamo pair i own i have a minor bit of slippage on the right shoe.

Dior's and my opinion are that ferragamos are fairly narrow, as are my feet, so should i go with the 8.5 (i have a choice of 8.5d and 9d santoni) so i get a snug fit? Will they be long enough? The santoni last seems fairly long...

I wear 10.5EE in Tramezza and Santoni FWIW and the fit is about the same FWIW.

my ferragamos are regular line though. i could have sworn that i read somewhere that the tramezzas run slightly longer.

In my estimation, Santoni runs about a half-size big. I bought the lace-up Bishop in size 9.5, my usual size, from Ben Silver and ended up returning it because the fit was insufficiently snug. (My feet are slightly narrower than medium; I wear size UK9D in EG.) I didn't try on size 9 because it was unavailable, but I'm guessing that it would be a better fit.

the bishop is a non-serrated insole FAM model (goodyear) that runs pretty true to size.

however, since these are monks, these may become slightly half size larger after some wear, due to the flexibility allowed naturally by a monkstrap.

if the ferragamos are 9 D and still somewhat snug on you, i think you may be a full size 9 D US. as it is known for ferragamo to run slightly narrow/small.

that being said, these 8.5 monks santonis would probably be a bit snug initially for you, later loosening up due to its monkstrap nature.

the 9s may be a good fit right now as well, but there is concerns that after several wears you may have a bit of loosening.
