If anyone's gotten a madras jacket -- I'd appreciate hearing about the quality and shoulders. Also if any of you get the oxford BD collared shirt with pocket, how's the quality? Thanks lads. Now that's Trad.Only thing I own from them is a Tux and it's great.
RJMan knows it better than anyone. He'll explain best. What is all this Trad business?.
Eddie Bauer....
Does anyone on the planet make clothes more sexless and/or less erotic than JPress?
I don't know what tie widths are considered trad. But I know that you're Hip. Can't stop the hipness; can't stop the Trad. What width are their ties?
Horace, is 3" considered trad? That was certainly the fashion in the 1940-50s. I'm so hip that I'm trad.
Oh please. J Press is such a minority of the "American" look in general. (Paul Stuart styling for instance, is another). I think we've got a lot more areas, as a nation, where we bring to bare (as it were) a bad reputation.I think auto90403 accurately sums up the JPress look and the whole trad way of dressing in general. Â There is nothing worse. Â The trad look is what gives American clothing its bad reputation around the world
Ha. Funny (seriously). And there may be some element of truth to this. But you can't stop the Trad. Press's D.C. store outfits many deviant politicians. And on this first page of postings alone, we've got messages on Paul Stuart, H. Freeman (is there a more Trad legacy), Brooks, Drakes, et al. You can't stop the Trad. As for sexless and unerotic (and hold on to your Manolo's auto90403), that's right: Trad is sexless and unerotic. Why should a man's clothing be otherwise?JPress clothes are for people who have given up hope that another live human being is ever going to see them naked again in a sexual situation.
