UNIFORM LA CHILLICOTHE WORK JACKET Drop, going on right now.
Uniform LA's Chillicothe Work Jacket is an elevated take on the classic Detroit Work Jacket. Made of ultra-premium 14-ounce Japanese canvas, it has been meticulously washed and hand distressed to replicate vintage workwear that’s been worn for years, and available in three colors.
This just dropped today. If you missed out on the preorder, there are some sizes left, but they won't be around for long. Check out the remaining stock here
Good luck!.

Any chance that the deadline can be extended to September 8 to allow us the full weekend to finish?
Bad timing, unfortunate happenings, may not have an entry this year.

Is that midnight Thursday night, or Friday night?
(I’m not trying to be difficult, really.)
Im good. School starting with the kids, work is bananas and relatives dying made it impossible. Do this in the summer from now on ?Sorry to hear that. Hope you're doing ok.
What did you end up doing with those saddle shoes? They were 15 bucks. So I bought them. Again, with the Polished Cobbler... why am I doing this to myself... again.
But, this year the plan is far more diabolical. This year, merely de-correcting the grain will not suffice. This year I’m turning the stupid up to 11 and will attempt something for which I have absolutely no qualifications. I’m going to answer a question that absolutely nobody, ever, has asked.
In the meanwhile, here is the patient, a pair of 511 last 2000 AE Shelton’s suffering from, what I like to call, 8271 syndrome (CGitis):
They’re not nearly as worn as last years shoes, but they really don’t look very good. No amount of regular treatment, conditioning, cleaning, etc., will fix that creasing. Actually, they look shockingly bad, given they have almost identical levels of wear to this pair of 2011’ish 8221 regular calf Shelton’s:
Interestingly enough, these 2011’ish (I cant recall when I bought them) examples are quite a bit better executed than their 2000 counterpart (better linings, more even stitching, tighter outsole stitch, tighter and cleaner welt/sole trimming and finishing). And, of course, the leather is massively better on the 2011 version.
In fact, the quality of the underlying leather used for Polished Cobbler, by 2000, had nosedived substantially versus what was used in, for example, 1987. These 87 Berwick’s have substantially more wear on them that the 8271 Shelton’s above:
The difference in the quality of the break in the leather is massive, and while one could almost pass for shell at a distance, the other looks pretty awful, despite far less wear.
In short, I think these newer PC Shelton’s, in some ways, will be harder to get a good result out of, versus the more beat up McAllister’s from last year. However, this year, the level of chemical warfare that will be prosecuted against these poor unsuspecting shoes should result in something pretty spectacular (good or bad is anyone’s guess).
