Yeah, it does. But Alabama is in that truly elite tier of schools and Auburn is not.

Brings up a good question, who do you consider to be in the elite tier of football programs, current performance not being enough to warrant exclusion... I have some thoughts, will post shortly.

Well, tj100 hit the nail on the head re: the A&M-Texas rivalry. If A&M wants to win one game all season, it's against Texas. If Texas wants to win one game all season, it's Oklahoma. Not exactly symmetrical, and the results certainly haven't been either (like, 73-37 or so all-time - ouch).

All that said, it's been entertaining as long as I've been an Aggie, and I don't really know what will replace it in the litany of traditions.

Colorado? 1990 5-down Colorado? :fu:

That was well before my time, but the way I look at it is that it was a blown call. Just about every team in the history of sports has been both the beneficiary and victim of blown calls, and that was one that went CU's way.

Looks like LSU has punched its ticket to the BCS Championship Game. Even if they lose next week, I don't think the voters can overlook three victories against top-five teams.

I'm a Colorado fan (I know, it's been a rough almost-decade)

Just to emphasize what a terrible run this has been, today was the first road win for CU's senior class. Last road win was in 2007...

What a way to end it too. I think Utah was controlling its own destiny for P12 south?

Not entirely, but for all intents and purposes yes.

If Utah had won and UCLA beats USC, UCLA wins the Pac-12 South legitimately.
If Utah had won and USC beats UCLA, Utah wins the tie-breaker with UCLA.
Now, Utah is out and even if (when) UCLA loses to USC, UCLA wins the tie-breaker with ASU.

So, UCLA is the Pac-12 South champion*.

If UCLA pulls the upset in the Championship game (a HUUUUGE if), they're going to the Rose Bowl. If they lose, they're not even bowl eligible...

The Pac 12 championship shouldn't even be played this year, it really seems like no one from the South wants to go.
