Since one of my wife's requirements for a house is that it have a pool, I'm always looking for good swimwear. Unfortunately, it's kind of hard to find. I like trunks that are on the shorter side (rather than the typical board-short length), but the shorter ones often have elastic at the top, which I try to avoid.

I did recently find a great pair of Malo trunks (didn't even know that they made them) that I plan to wear this summer. They're not too long, not too short, and have a plain/flat band at the top. The only thing is, they're pale pink.

While all of those (even the pink pair) are fine, only certain body types would look good in them. I need new swimming trunks (although I practically don't swim and only go to the beach / pool for sun) as I have been wearing an old pair of Nike board shorts. Those photos may give me some fresh ideas though

I have some of the parke and ronen trunks, the 4 inch, not the snap that are on that website. They fit great and look great. Wait for them to go on sale and you can get them really cheap (they usually have many sizes that make it on sale).

Is it just me or does anyone else find $200 swim trunk totally ridiculous... even on a forum whose members talk about luxury clothing.

Forget $200 - several of the swimsuits shown there are around $300. That must be some damn fine nylon, polyester, or whatever the hell that they're using. I personally wear square-cut speedo-like trunks from Tyr. They're solid black. I lived in Europe a few years back, and baggy swim trunks were banned from the local city pool - for fear that people would wear their street shorts into the water. I originally bought these expressly for the pool, but I got attached to them. They fit great, dry fast, and the ladies dig them. Well, not all the ladies - but enough of them. At least my girlfriend does!

Yea, where's all the bright stuff in that link? Personally I am lucky enough to get away with short, bright prints too and its fun as hell to get some bro to give me **** and make fun of me for it. Cause last I checked chicks love em. The shorty shorts are just more fun

I go with Villebrequins cheaper counter part, Faconnable or Gant.
