OneButton or 3-roll-2: What do you think (not that it matters)?

I've been pondering converting my one button odd jackets and suits to 3-roll-2 for several months. The advantage of one button is that it's simpler (theoretically good for a short fellow like myself) and my stuff is all done that way already. However, 3-roll-2 is more traditionally correct for the style of jacket I wear and the multiple buttons and holes might create more vertical emphasis. Also, in practice, I think the eyes get too drawn to the center of the jacket when you've only got one button. It's like a giant belly button.

Thoughts?

Oh, and I've already decided what I'm doing, so nothing you say will change my mind.

I did not even know that was possible. Personally I love the look of a 3 roll 2. It seems to create a very natural line down the jacket and still look right proportionately.

. Don't care either, although I've heard that if you ever want to convert a 3B to a 2B, then gdl is yer man.

Oh, it's possible. The buttoning point would be the same for me in either case.

I don't have any response, but I wanted to quote this for emphasis and posterity.

You, sir, have no soul. Must be the French thing.

Can this actually be done? And, yes, you do care--evidently.

I care enough to suggest you set aside those jackets and encourage your wife to take up sewing so she can eventually convert them into coats for your future offspring. NOBD's thread is most awesome. Please ponder.

If you think about it, I gave you the answer you ultimately care about......your own.
