As well as some closeout firsts... like the Fairfax I picked up... sweet shoe.
Damn, wish I had known about that! Just picked up a pair of Fairfaxes in Chili (as I mentioned a few pages back) at Nordstrom Rack for $209. Also, I wanted to run something by you guys . . . planning on going to two weddings this summer (church ceremony, indoor reception). Have a well-tailored navy suit I plan to wear. Is it inappropriate (from a general public point of view, not necessarily just from a SF point of view) to wear my Chili Fairfaxes? I wore them a few days ago to an evening event for which the dress code was "business" along with my navy suit and got several compliments on them. Would I be out of line wearing these to a wedding? Thanks.

Edit: FWIW, I also have a matching chili belt.

ah^^^^^
i wish i knew that
i paid 170 for brooks strand last week, they will arrive tomorrow
The brooks strand wasn't included as part of the 2 for 200 deal, not all models were available. Don't worry! I picked up the BB strands in dark brown 2 weeks ago for 199 and they have quickly become my favorite. Just enjoy them!

Looking for an AE model that isn't in production anymore - the Jodox. If you know where I can find it in an 11C, 10.5C or 10.5D please let me know. Thanks.

I wore a navy suit with walnut lombards to a wedding yesterday. Received lots of compliments and looked great. If you are comfortable wearing it, wear it. You're going to look better than most everyone there anyway.

That's the truth - just having a pair of well-shined shoes will put you head and shoulders above most. Those Fairfaxes are actually a pretty formal shoe (being a wholecut balmoral). Weddings are a festive occasion, you'll be fine.

Yes, the AE for BB shoes have rubber sections of the outsole (under the ball and toe of the foot). This should provide more longevity, especially when walking on wet concrete.

Today's pair: AE Macneil in burgundy shell cordovan. Stripey socks for a day of intra-office meetings.

I'm wearing very similar shoes in style and color (slightly less formal) to a wedding in a couple weeks. Not saying I'm correct or incorrect doing so, but ******* who cares.

Thank you! I apologize for the glare - my blackberry camera takes lousy indoor pictures, so I try to take outdoor whenever possible. Unfortunately lately, that means the early morning (and the glare that goes along with it).

Nice walnut cordovan Strands, really love the variations in color!
