    Polish goat skin shoes

I have a pair of goat skin boots, the leather is really nice and supple but when I polish and brush them, the polish flakes off after a while so when touching the shoes black flakes stick to my hand. Perhaps they're not as absorbent as my other shoes? Could anyone offer any advice? Tom.

What colour and style of trouser to wear with quite sleek, dark grey leather lace-ups? Tom.

    Quality of Gucci Shoes

I've seen a pair of Gucci lace-ups with grosgrain trim, I love the style of the shoe but am wondering if the quality is any good at around £295? They certainly don't feel as well put together as any of the Prada shoes I own. I like them in black but these are the shoes (in silver )...

    A.P.C New Cure in London

Where can I find A.P.C. New Cure jeans in London? Selfridges and Liberty never seem to have them. I'd like to try them on first because I don't know how many sizes to go down. Thanks, Tom.

Prada Combat Boots, black army style

Hello, Bought on Bond Street last week for £380, worn once then realised they are a bit tight on me. Size 8.5 to 9 Beautiful boots, well made, hard wearing, AS NEW except for minor wear on sole. Polished before first wear, leather has lovely crackled effect. Looking for around £300, open...

Do leather boots and shoes stretch?

Help! I need to put my mind at ease! I bought some beautiful Prada combat boots and they feel quite tight on the side of my little toe, but very comfortable elsewhere, they are made from a really tough leather and was wondering they're likely to stretch a bit to mould to my feet? I'm not in any...

New boots have very thin leather sole - advice?

I have some new Miu Miu boots which are made from goatskin and have a very thin leather sole. Will these wear through almost instantly? Would it be advisable to have a rubber sole put on straight away? Is this possible without spoiling the look? Thanks, Tom.

    Suit Trousers into Drainpipes

I've recently bought my first suit, an Aquascutum one from their regent street shop and while I'm happy with the jacket, despite being slightly longer and more traditional than say a designer one, the trousers I are too big for me in the legs though perfect in the waist, I don't even need a...

    Bruno Magli shoe restore photos

Does anyone remember a thread a while ago with lots of pictures of a shoe maker restoring a pair of old shoes, and in the end they looked amazing. I've tried searching for it but I don't think it exists anymore, I'd love to have another look if anyone has a link to it somewhere. Thanks, Tom.

Zip ankle boots a bit loose

I bought some new zip up Prada boots in my usual size, I didn't want to size down as they would be a bit too thin. However my foot slides backwards and forwards a bit in them. What can I do reduce this? It's not overly annoying but I'd prefer a snugger fit. Are insoles or something any good...

    Jil Sander ankle boots

Hello! I've seen these on Yoox... http://www1.yoox.com/item/YOOX/JIL+S...921B/areaid/35 ... but unfortunately they don't have my size. These boots really are perfect. If anyone knew where to get them in size UK 9 that'd be amazing. Recommendations for similar styles would be most appreciated...

    Trench Coat

Any recommendations for trench coats? Ideally I'd like a half length one. I can't really afford a £700 Miu Miu one I've seen in Selfridges, or up to £1000 on Aquascutum on Burberry. I know a coat is an investment, but I'm on a student budget and already have a nice long rain coat. I'm in...

    Shirt arm length problem

Can anyone recommend brands of shirts who have longer sleeves? In order for a shirt to fit me as slim as I like, the sleeves always come up really short on my monkey like arms. Tom

Shop Assistant asked if I was sweaty

I bought an Aquascutum shirt today and asked to try it on as I wanted to see how it fitted. The guy working there asked if I was 'dry', as not to mark the shirt. I mean I know its been hot in England in the last few weeks but surely that can't normal behaviour? How ruddy bloody rude I thought.

    Shoe Polishing Problems

I polished a pair of brown leather shoes with neutral shoe polish, normal kiwi stuff, and they've come out all dark with little lighter coloured spots in various places. What's gone wrong and how can I fix it? Tom.

    Gift for a girl's 21st

I've got a pretty good friend who's having a 21st Birthday party soon with a fairly limited list of guests attending. I need to get her a present. It needn't be expensive, should not be cute and definately not romantic! I'm a bit stuck. Any suggestions? Tom.

    Teaching English in Japan

I'm currently looking into the idea of teaching english in Japan as a way of travelling and working at the same time. There are various language schools to apply to, but I'm thinking of JET in particular as it seems to be one of the oldest and most professional. Does anybody have any experience...

dr hauschka cream stain on leather shoe

I foolishly dropped some moisturising cream on my shoe and its left an oily stain which has darkened the leather. How can I get this out seeing as I use clear polish so I don't change the slighty reddish brown leather colour? Thank you, Tom.

Buy off Ralph Lauren site in UK

Hello, Does anybody know of a way to have stuff from the american ralph lauren website shipped to the UK? I'd love to order a polo with my initials on, but you can't do that over here. Also Ralph Lauren polos cost a minimum of £55 in the UK, which is outrageous compared to the US price. Tom.
