Zip ankle boots a bit loose

I bought some new zip up Prada boots in my usual size, I didn't want to size down as they would be a bit too thin. However my foot slides backwards and forwards a bit in them. What can I do reduce this? It's not overly annoying but I'd prefer a snugger fit. Are insoles or something any good?

Thanks, Tom.

My feet slid around a little bit in a pair of boots that I bought once. The salesman put little tongue pads in, maybe 1/8" thick, and that stopped the movement. After the leather softened up I was able to take the pads out and now the boots are great.

Tongue pad, heel pads or insoles. I'd start with insoles since there's no adhesive to worry about.
