Hello! I've seen these on Yoox...

http://www1.yoox.com/item/YOOX/JIL+S...921B/areaid/35

... but unfortunately they don't have my size. These boots really are perfect. If anyone knew where to get them in size UK 9 that'd be amazing. Recommendations for similar styles would be most appreciated. I really like some Prada ones I've seen in Selfridges but unfortunately they're twice the price.

Thanks, Tommy.

Have you had Jil Sander boots before? I'm only asking because the sizing can fluctuate largely depending on style. If they have these a half-size larger or smaller than your usual UK9 boots and the price is good, it may be worth it to order them and try them out. If they don't fit, you can always return them.

EDIT: I just checked out the link in question; they've only got a size 12 and a size 7. I'd say neither of those is going to come even close.

Here's another Jil Sander that is in your size; they're not boots, but have a similarly shaped toe (and the price is pretty good, too).

rach2jlc, do you know if Jil Sander's sizing tends to run on the large or small size? I like the look of those shoes you posted, but the closest size yoox has to my default shoe size is an 8.5, where as I usually wear a 9 or 9.5. Do you think they'll work?

I normally wear a size 10 in shoes, Jil Sander I wear 8. They run huge, in my experience.

Brian is right; they tend to run quite large. The Lattanzi Sanders run a little large, the Puma Sanders actually run about the right size or even a little small (or the same as regular Pumas), but the general Jil Sanders produced by Prada all run 1-2 sizes larger. Those you've pictured are the regular line Sanders.

Ones in the spring/summer Jil Sander section on Yoox are produced by Church's for Jil Sander. I've never had a pair of these, since they just came out last year, so I'm not sure how they'll run for sizing.

Prada and Helmut Lang are similar, too, I'm a 10.5 or 11 and am anything from an 8-10 in their shoes.

+1, and I also agree with John; Lang and Prada have similar sizing. I think I have a pair of size 40 HL that fit me well. I find most "designer" footwear to be 1-2 sizes larger, no idea why this is so.

BTW the greenish tint on those Sander slip-ons is very enticing, I love slightly skewed coloring like these.

Foolishly enough, I bought a 10 in all of these brands for a long time, but there's at least a full size of actual difference between certain pairs. I have a pair of Sanders where I could easily go down a full size, whereas one of my HL suede boots actually fit quite snugly, both labelled "10". They can definitely be a pain ********** to buy online.

They send them out to their best customers, so there's no way to get it other than to buy lots of stuff.. I think I spent something ridiculous like €4-5k over the years before I got mine. Usually, it's either good for 15% off everything, or 20% off a certain selection for a limited time, at least ime.
