I'd be curious to know where you got the buttons from. I've been wanting to do the same thing with a J Crew cardigan that I have. (I find the quality on them to be hit or miss, but they fit me better than any other brand I've found. The buttons are especially bad, though.)

I buy most of my buttons off an Ebay shop that has sets from Polo suits. They do make sweater look better. I like crew for the price, but they do tend to use ****** buttons.

Trousers are Epaulet Rivet Chinos...you need to try a pair man, you'll never go to JCrew again.

Am an RRL whore now, the Officer Chino works perfectly for me.. The Epaulets are nice, I originally thought they might be RRL also..
