One of my best friends (now passed) was a pilot, he wore a rolex pepsi GMT that looked like it had been through a war. Wait....are you still a 'wannabe' if you own and fly planes, whats the styleforum rule on this?

I actually have a Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk in Titanium. It has a working E6B in the bezel and you can see both GMT and Local time at a glance.

I have never had to use the E6B on the watch, but I show GMT on the analog and Local on the digital, when I fly.

Wear what you like.

That has not been my experience. My dad is a pilot, and I grew up around a lot of pilots. None of them wear Casio G-Shocks.

This is hilarious. So true if you fly fixed wing.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Breitling yet.
Not really in my price range...I don't think.

I was actually looking at the Citizens, but then I saw they hired Eli Manning as a model/spokesman. NEXT!

Yeh, having an E6B would come in handy if I were flying a Robinson. But the digital/analog setup is very smart.

Have you checked out Bell & Ross pilot watches? Their BR-01 series is really cool
Even if I liked their boxy designs, they are way too expensive.

Have a look at Sinn 656, though it costs more. It has a very functional look that is based on cockpit clock design.
I like this watch. About twice what I want to pay though.

I've seen only one around the flight line. It was actually left in the cockpit by another pilot. I really did not like it.

Easy fasten for leather band
Deployant Clasp.
I haven't seen this. This might fix my problem. But is it weird that I feel like it makes the watch into some sort of abomination?

Thanks for the recommendations fellas. Most are above my price range, but I'll keep looking around.

Speaking from experience;

Low profile design, reliability, and easy to read minute & second hands in low or non existant light are requirements in the cockpit.

Everything else is rubbish (borrowed from Manfred Von Richtofen).
