Havent been on the forum in awhile. Been able to control my vintage shoe addiction, at least from ebay. Still been picking up in thrifts when I see em though. You guys really know how to trigger a relapse.

My father used to tell me, "Remember, no matter where you go or what you do, you can always serve as a bad example."

Lol I didn’t have the budget atm. I also like my wife haha.

Almost 50 percent of all marriages in the United States will end in divorce or separation. NOS Golden Harvests are unicorns. ;)

There are no guarantees your wife will always love you, or stay by your side.

Shoes on the other hand, love you unconditionally, and will be with you until the end. You forgot about them - they're fine. You want to wear them? They're cool with that. You want to rebuild them? Your decision. You want to sell them? No objections.

Know your priorities, king.

Recently got a NOS John McHale longwings and they’re lovely. Replaced the laces to a thinner set and it looks way better

Awesome find. Definitely not NOS. The soles were rebuilt at some point. Most telling, the original stitches were not properly removed from the welt.

That said, I think you did well. John McHale are just pure awesome. Best tanks ever.

May the 4th be with you. Appropriately my Stormtrooper watch is ready.

And some splash of spring colours for a warm day. These vintage Florsheim 97626s were rebuilt by Gary Coakley with "the K package" - JR soles, toe taps, grommets, and cat paw heels.

People often ask if Stacy Adams ever made really high quality shoes. They did, and this pair is an example. These are shell cordovan longwings complete with the original box and receipt dated March 31, 1964. Please give us your bio. Are you 99 years old? How did this museum collection come to be? I'd love to know your story.
