Jacquard workshirt and officer chinos.

Anyone have any thoughts on sizing down on these work shirts? I'm wearing a large and could possibly fit into a medium but this is my typical size. It's pretty boxy but I think that's how these are supposed to fit.

You know, that made me wonder... are there any "real" cowboys/ranchers here?

Not even close to a cowboy/rancher but I work in a hazardous environment and with heavy equipment (landfill), and breaking in raw denim on the job is a fun process to go through. I’m also one of those ‘crazies’ that wears RRL to work, but most of the workwear holds up surprisingly well I’d say.

I'd say that's a perfect fit on that workshirt. You also wanna be comfortable moving around and reaching for things. I took that for granted in the past always chasing a slim fit, now I kind of like having some wiggle room.

I remember you posted this and thinking you were a fancy western banker or something like that!

I grew up on a hay and dairy farm and though I don't live there any more, I do spend two or three days each week most of the summer helping my dad (who's now too old to do much more than drive the tractor) cut, rake, bale and put up hay (sadly, my parents don't have cows anymore). I've only got one pair of denim from RRL but a bunch of pair of expensive Japanese denim and have no problems wearing them while I'm out there. Generally I wear whatever pair is newest so I can break them in that much faster.

If it's not too hot I usually wear a denim or chambray workshirt (I've got a bunch to choose from, including from RRL). My go-to boots on the farm are some whiskey shell cordovan Indy Boots.

I'm not as rough on the clothing as a construction worker or farmer who's out there every single day, but I've never had anything fail out there.

Honestly, the thing that has destroyed more jeans and chinos over the years has stretching and swinging my leg up to climb into my Jeeps!

I ordered the red western shirt from ssense and I received it stuffed in a plastic bag. Maybe that's not too unusual, but when I opened it, the sleeves were still rolled up - see photo.

This has to be a previous return/used item, right? I think I am gonna return this ...

Thanks for your input - others as well.

Good to know RRL workwear isn't just aesthetics:laugh:

WRT RRL Cargo/Camo pants vs Officer Chinos. Is there any situation where you look better in the cargo pants than a good fitting pair of chinos?

Here is a inspo album.

I keep thinking these RRL Cargo/Camo pants are very cool but not sure how much use I would ever get out of them.
