Hey Rob, did you get a special rate for getting so many clothes?
No, couldn't even discount the shipping. Great stuff though, I'm happy.
I see that the Dorchester collection is being discontinued. Good stuff, if you want 14oz worsted in classic, if slightly rough-hewn patterns. I have a DB in the brown herringbone stripe and it works remarkably well.
That book always reminded me of Reid & Taylor's offerings.

The Scabal Silver Gander Reid & Taylor cloths are outstanding.
Some of those cloths are from the new ranges. I'd be interested to see how they make up.
No he doesn't. It prob saves me a few bucks by getting the cloth on my own and doing CTM, especially with the pound as low as it is now. So essentially "sale" would be in the pound to dollar ratio. For what I paid I'm happy, I got exactly what I wanted, without compromise (except the green lambswool which was supposed to be brown...may swap it out for another although its growing on me).
Rob, I love that chestnut plaid.
^ Fun stuff! I can see you rocking all of those. Does John G. Hardy outsource to VBC for some fabrics? I didn't realize that.
When I first started having suits made 20 years ago, Reid & Taylor was the cloth the tailors raved about, IIRC it was about 18oz in weight. I was at my tailors earlier and he has the Eskdale book which is about 15oz but there weren't many patterns in the bunch. You don't see Reid & Taylor much these days as the patterns tend to be deemed a little 'old fashioned' by the younger clients.
I may have some of that left from last season- I'll check on Monday.
IIRC, the Silver Gander are 18oz. The colors are wonderfully vibrant and unique. I believe Yachtie has had a few of them made up.
