I kind of miss having neighbors who would wake me up with their loud sex.

My building is actually pretty well insulated. I rarely hear anything. I think they just complained last night because they came home and heard it in the hallway, which for some reason you can hear everything.

The people in my building are so weird. They are such hermits. Most of them work from home and I never see them out in the neighborhood and such. We have a google group for building issues and such. You would not believe at the bitching that goes on there. They are all insane. I thought things would be better being that it is a condo and not a rental, but alas I think it is worse.

My wife is always very quick to complain about noise. Of course, she always wants me to do the confronting - which is always a terrible idea, as I have no idea how to de-escalate situations and wind up making matters worse. I'd rather just let the neighbor be as loud as they want, and crank up my music or TV to drown them out.

At least I get to split the cost of building maintenance 3 ways. Of course, that means there are 3 parties deciding whether a particular maintenance job is required, and if so, how it should be done. Just to add to the fun, only two of those 3 parties live in the building. The third is an absentee landlord.

when i bought a house, a friend of mine told me, "people buy detached houses so they can make as much noise as they want during sex, and not have to worry about it."

I'm not glad that ABC renewed Don't Trust that B in Apt. 23 for season two
