not on a vass, due i have none. it's nice. will not do it again. generally, i'm not overly convinced by the sunken tips concept, neither metal, rubber or teflon. i admit, it's easy with a fifty rotation and a cobbler around the corner.

I have specified sunken rubber tips from Vass. Don't know whether it's vibram. I did it because I thought it would be easier to stick a topy on later if needed. So far they've held up well. Metal is better of course.

Update on Vass for those considering fit-- they will make Oxfords on the 3636 last. The result is more or less like the Peter last pics on their website. A bit wider, obviously, but the same DNA.

I have a high instep that usually requires a bit of adjustment in English RTW shoes-- the Vass model fits me perfectly in that area.

it's not a secret that a high instep and oxfords can be tricky...

My understanding is that Vass will not put a metal toe tap on single soled shoes.

surprising.
Noticed not many recent pics - has the love affair with Vass soured?

Probably just a timing issue - plus people getting used to the new forum layout. There should be a batch arriving sometime soon.

I'm eagerly awaiting an Austerity brogue plus the Old English II in a brown calf/scotchgrain combination. :slayer:

I have a pair coming as well. They can't get here soon enough.
